
The Connecticut Office of Culture & Tourism (once named the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism) was created in 2003 by the Connecticut General Assembly to bring together arts, historic preservation, and tourism. Its mission is to preserve and promote Connecticut's cultural and tourism assets in order to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality of the State. On July 1, 2011, the Connecticut Office of Culture & Tourism was involved in an agency consolidation with the Department of Economic and Community Development.

Peer Advisor Network (PAN) is a flexible, short-term consulting service available to non-profit arts, heritage, tourism and cultural organizations working directly in support of arts, heritage, humanities and film. The program is also available to corresponding community cultural groups without a formal 501-C-3 designation. PAN is supported by a network of specially trained advisors who are matched with specific client needs. Consulting contracts are available for up to a two-day consultancy to help address numerous health and capacity issues and/or to help advance an existing or establish a new expertise. Artist Mentorship Project (AMP)
The Fairfield County Community Foundation promotes the growth of community and regional philanthrophy to improve the quality of life throughout Fairfield County. Individuals, families, corporations and organizations can establish charitable funds and contribute to existing funds. The foundation also provides philanthropic advisory services, and develops and leads initiatives to tackle critical community issues.
